It’s Back, It’s Bold & It’s Beautiful

The 16th Nailympia London is NOW OPEN for registration

Nailympia London will host 5 competitions online & 8 in its London-arena at Olympia Beauty 2-3 October 2022

(Please note online competitions will close for judging on 19 August 2022 & results will be announced at Nailympia London awards 3 October 2022.)
The itinerary can be viewed here  – https://www.nailympia.com/london/itinerary/
“I wish I could express the excitement i’m feeling regarding the fact that Nailympia will be hosted in four locations this year,” beams Alex Fox, global director Nailympia Competitions. “Today Nailympia London opens its registration and to make it easily accessible, five of its competitions will be hosted online and eight will be hosted on the arena. Both will qualify towards the Global and Euro cups, so, even though the five comps will be judged in August, the results will be held a tight secret until 3rd October awards at Olympia Beauty.
“The last two year’s events have impacted us all and in the nail community we have learned to nail differently in order to survive. We put Nailympia online to keep it alive, to inspire nail artists to compete in a new way and to continue their nail journey in a different capacity, but nothing beats the buzz on the arena floor, the action and the passion behind the nails that is oozed by the competitors and mirrored in the faces of the judges. I literally can’t wait to feel that nail beast again!”
Nailympia London will offer an exciting blend of competitions over two days at Olympia Beauty as well as some exciting online categories that offer themes  such as Four Seasons, Royalty and Roaring Twenties with Reality Nails asking for nail art to represent a Disco Diva, a Winter Wedding Belle and a Cake Baker.
It’s a truly eclectic mix of competitions that will stretch imagination, inspire great ideas and sharpen skills too.
It’s going to be Bold & Beautiful !

Nailympia Online presents line-up of 36 judges

Nailympia Online closes for registration on Saturday 27 February and will be open for another 24 hours to take in submissions. It will finally close its portal at midnight on Sunday 28 February.

This is when the 36-strong judging team will be sent links into their judging portals, which have been allocated to them, but not yet revealed.  “It’s getting very exciting as we get closer to the deadline,” enthuses Alex Fox, Nailympia organiser. “We have upgraded the Nailympia website and turned it into a competition portal where competitors from all over the world can register and upload their entries. This in turn, sends the entry to its respective category, where a link will be created and sent out to the judges ( from 1st March), who will then access their criteria, the entries and score straight into the system.”

With more than 30 countries represented and over 170 competitors, this competition is hotting up as it moves through its last week.

A live awards will be held at 7pm GMT Monday 15 March hosted on the official Nailympia Facebook page with Scratch’s Alex Fox and Helena Biggs, managing editor of Scratch magazine.

Breaking News!

Nailympia is celebrating 15 years in 2019 at its London location.
To mark this super milestone in its history, a new competition has been created by head floor judge from the UK, Marian Newman.
The Joy of NaIls with Bling! will invite competitors to create literally whatever makes them most happy in the nail salon. Be it butterfly, pipe, edge or stiletto nails – be it encapsulated, embossed, mixed media, elaborate or chic – the nail artist is invited to create 5 nails in 75 minutes showcasing anything at all!
The only stipulation is that every nail must have at least 20% bling!
Judges will look for the following…technical prowess, expertise, balanced and even nail structure and shape, correctly positioned apex, originality in design as well as ‘wow factor’ delivered by placement of the bling!
This is the ultimate competition – it’s fun, exploratory and  experimental  – it requires creative expression while showing technical skill.
This competition will be held in the USA, Estonia & London.
