Nailympia moves into the Sunshine State for its 3rd US event

The first Nailympia to be hosted in Orlando saw 11 countries represented and 21 nail experts join the judging panel. The panel comprised Elaine Watson, Jan Arnold, Tammy Taylor, Maisie Dunbar, Morgan Haile, Karen Dunn, Dee Smith, Cheryl Thibault, Traci Dungan, Allie Baker, Trang Nguyen, Vitaly Solomonoff, Jaime Schrabeck, Lauren Wireman, Jenny Bui, Shelena Robinson, Aigul Fritzke, Beth Livesay, Gina Silvestre, MaeLing Parrish and Tan Nguyen.
The Premiere Orlando exhibition and education event hosted this first Nailympia edition in Orlando while key sponsors CND and Kupa Inc supported the event with marketing and massive product prizes and support. CND presented every nail table with a desk lamp, goody bag and signature manicure towels as well as a CND holdall packed with products for all first place winners and Kupa offered smart phone holders and two Mani Pro efiles as prizes for the two Winners of Winners.
The two-day event was also supported by Nailympia Canada (Karen Dunn and Aigul Frtizke), with Karen running the admin side with Alex Fox, while Aigul Fritze competed in the Fantasy competition.
Powered by Scratch magazine, the competition saw around 30 nailists take to the floor amassing 75 competition seats with 11 countries represented including Taiwan, Ecuador, Puerto
Rico, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Poland, Kazakhstan, the UK and USA. The UK’s Hazel Dixon scooped the Highest Scoring Individual accolade alongside a host of other medals before announcing her retirement from competitions as she moves over the judging side of the fence.
