Career biography: I entered the industry in 2008 & became the winner of a nail competition the very next year. I opened my own nail salon in 2010 & became a distributor of nail products. I have been active on the stage of nail technology education & competitions in Asia, especially Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore & Mainland China. I am a lecturer for many well-known brands & an examiner for the JNA. I am responsible for examinations & examiner recruitment in China & Hong Kong. In 2017, I established the nail academy A Formula & became the founder of SparkleN UV/LED Gel System & TipTec UV/LED Nail tip System. I moved to UK in 2022 & became a judge for Nailympia London. I am now an accessor with VTCT in the UK.
Personal biography: I once served as the management of a multi-international Japanese company for 17 years & being a translator for many steel & construction machinery professional books. I love cooking & music. I have formed my own band & was the lead singer. I published 3 piano scores & 2 guitar tabs. I found my passion for nails when I became a mum. My 16-year career as nail technician & my 16-year-old son have simultaneously become the most important parts of my life.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: In nail competitions, we are able to compete & communicate with different players. We work & create our art alone. Participating in competitions allows us to clarify the meaning of our work, future goals, find resonance & affirm our own standards.
Advice to competitors: Compete without thinking, as what you gain during the journey of every competition is worth all your effort.
