Career biography: I'm deputy head of education for Glitterbels & educator for Hertfordshire. I've worked as a nail professional since 1995 & have been in education within the nail industry since 2002. I'm a judge for Nailympia, Scratch Stars & the FNP.
I'm deeply passionate about education within the industry & constantly strive to increase education & awareness for both beginner nail techs & advanced techs. I'm also very proud winner of Scratch Stars Educator if the Year 20/21. I'm one of the founders of Nail Safari, one of the UK’s largest nail training events, which is held on a zoo on the Hertfordshire/ Cambridgeshire border.
I also work in the sessions world, mainly in the fashion industry, where I have a large portfolio of work including celebrity clients, advertising campaigns, fashion shows, press & PR events.
I love nothing more than sharing my knowledge & experience & helping nail techs develop their skills, whether they are starting out in their career or advancing their skills.
Personal biography: I have 2 teenage daughters & a husband. As a family we love to travel & enjoy sunshine holidays, short breaks & skiing holidays. I'm a big animal lover, with 2 cats & 2 dogs & am known to take in any strays when needed haha! My girls keep me super busy as a cheer mum, they both do the sport competitively, so I am regularly found in a gym or travelling in the uk or abroad for competitions.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: It’s an incredible opportunity to push yourself out of your comfort zone & to challenge yourself, which will only ever make you better. It also gives the opportunity to receive feedback from the greatly esteemed panel of judges.
Advice to competitors: Go for it! You will never regret taking up the challenge, you will always learn & progress with every competition you enter & every experience you have.
