During that class she was offered a job, by the organiser, as a nail tech & educator for the brand. Within 6 months, she took all the classes needed & exams, to become a master educator & has been educating ever since. She began to compete as well, & she has won medals in many different competitions since she began competing. She began running her own salon & nail school & she has educated several nails techs, which have also won medals in competitions all over the world. In 2013 she became an international judge & has been judging competitions all over the world since then. Jeanette stopped competing in 2015 due to the lack of time to practice & has since focused on distribution, educating, her team, conducting Educator Trainings, judging & doing nails for magazine step-by steps & cover pictures.
Personal biography: Besides nails Jeanette has a lot of other hobbies. She loves painting, dancing, singing & to walk in nature & by the sea. When people meet Jeanette they see a very happy smiling person who can talk to everybody & a person who loves to be around a lot of people, but when she is at home she loves peace & quiet. To walk in a forest & listen to the birds, trees, the wind & much more gives a satisfaction & a recharge to her batteries, that she couldn't go without.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: Competitions is a must for a nail tech who wants to develop their own skills to a higher level. The training, the commitment, the effort to do better every single time is so hard, but so giving on a personal & professional level.
Advice to competitors: You have to read the rules very carefully. Then you have to understand the rules. Then you have to look at your scoresheets & understand the scoring. Then you can develop your work in the areas that's needed. Then you need to have a good model. They need to have exceptional nail beds, nice skin & will be a vary important part of your journey, so teach them well on how to be a model in a competition. Lastly, you need to practice. You need to practice all year around, not just before a competition. This will help you in a competition, because you will be confident in what you are doing.
