Career biography: I've worked as a nail technician in Ireland since 2008. Upon finishing my training I immediately wanted to help others to learn & progress within the industry, so I trained as a tutor under ITEC & completed educator training with various brands. I've had years of experience working in a very busy salon environment & now run my own studio from home. I competed in various competitions & represented Ireland at the World Championships in Dusseldorf in 2013. The next progression was to judge & being part of the Nailympia team is an unbelievable honour & definitely a career highlight!
Personal biography: I am married with 2 children, Jamie is 10 & Zoe is 7. I juggle my nail business with being a mother & running a busy house! I love keeping fit, I feel like it keeps me healthy, in mind & body. I recently competed in Hyrox events in Paris & Dublin. I love to read & enjoy doing anything artistic.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: I love nail competitions because they take us out of our comfort zones & always teaches us something. No matter where you place, you will come out at the other end with more experience & a renewed passion to be better.
Advice to competitors: Just go for it! Be organised & plan as much as you can. Seek help for weak areas & practice, practice, practice!
