Career biography: Beth Livesay worked in magazine publishing for 12 years, serving as an award-winning editor for magazines such as NAILS Magazine, Nail Style Magazine, Altered Couture, Apronology & Jewelry Affaire. She produced the NAILS Next Top Nail Artist competition & is a collaborator on World’s Star Nail Artist & North America Star Nail Artist competitions. Beth’s keen eye for personal style has made her a sought-after writer for The Tease, Hello Giggles, The Huffington Post & Bloomingdale’s. As a beauty industry authority, Beth has served as a judge for Nailympia USA, the Contessa Awards, NAHA & Salon of the Year Awards. Currently, she is the senior manager of education content at CND.
Personal biography: When not immersed in the nail world, Beth enjoys running, writing & reading fiction, shopping & spending time with her husband & five cats. Why you believe in nail competitions?: Competitions give nail professionals another creative outlet. They are great ways to earn industry recognition & stretch skillsets. Competitions are healthy ways to challenge oneself & learn in the process.
Advice to competitors: Don't compare yourself to others. Everyone has their own style & judges just want to see competitors embrace their unique point of view & perfect it. Always be yourself.
