Career biography: My name is Diana ViG & I'm a nail designer & international educator. I began my career in Hungary, studying at the Faculty of Visual Arts at University of Pécs, where I earned my degree. After graduation the beauty industry drew me in. This led me to move to the United Kingdom, where I have spent the last decade. I earned my nail technician qualification in London, followed by a teaching qualification a few years later. Alongside my education, I started competing in the nail art field, which opened up opportunities for me to teach internationally. I had the privilege of being invited to the USA, Hungary & several UK venues as well. In addition to teaching & competing, I have also contributed to product development. I was involved in the creation of the LeNoir Luxury Nail Brand Art Gel set, testing various products & working with a team to develop a high-quality range of nail art accessories. I firmly believe that nail art transforms simple nail extensions into works of art.
Personal biography: I consider myself fortunate because a significant part of my job aligns with my passion. Nail art is a true form of self-expression & artistry for me, & every project feels like a personal accomplishment. Aside from my work in nail design, I'm also passionate about entrepreneurship, especially as a woman in business. I'm deeply interested in healthy eating & I'm increasingly aware of the impact we have on the planet, so I'm constantly seeking ways to live more sustainably & consciously. All these aspects of my life come together to shape who I am & what I do.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: I believe in nail competitions because they provide a unique platform for personal connection with colleagues. In today’s digital world, this face-to-face interaction has become increasingly valuable. Competitions also offer valuable learning experiences for participants, pushing them to grow & improve their skills. Achieving a high ranking can even lead to global recognition, helping competitors make a name for themselves in the industry.
Advice to other competitors: My advice to fellow competitors is this: competing doesn’t always guarantee a win, but not competing will definitely ensure that you never have the chance to win. Every competition is an opportunity to learn, grow & push yourself further, regardless of the outcome. So, take the leap & embrace the challenge!
