Career biography: I’m a nail artist, educator & entrepreneur. I founded Banana Nails in 2019, growing it into two salons, a nail supply store & a nail school in Chicago. Since 2021, I’ve taught multiple continuing education classes, including my own advanced programs & TGB Academy courses, where I’ve taught over 300 nail technicians.
Beyond nails, I mentor salon owners, host the Nailionaire Podcast & distribute top nail products to professionals. I’ve also been featured in NailPro magazine & on a local TV show, sharing my expertise & passion for the industry
I love this industry & will keep pushing it forward - through education, business & competition. And I’m just getting started...
Personal biography: I’m a results-driven entrepreneur, nail artist & educator. With a master’s degree in transport engineering from Ukraine, I’ve always been obsessed with efficiency, but it was through my nail journey that I found my true calling in business. Being a nail artist & building a brand is the perfect combination for me- it allows me to blend my analytical mindset with my creative side.
Beyond business, my biggest joy is my family. Together with my husband, I love showing the world to our son & teaching him new things. He inspires me to dream bigger, work harder & never stop learning.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: I believe in nail competitions because they push artists to step outside of their comfort zones & elevate their skills. Competing encourages creativity, precision & innovation, which helps nail professionals continually improve & stay ahead in an ever-evolving industry. For me, competitions like Nailympia are not just about winning - they are about proving to myself that I can push my boundaries, learn new techniques & raise my standards.
Advice to other competitors: My biggest advice to other competitors is to not give up. The road to success in nail competitions is not easy & there will be moments when you feel like giving up or doubting yourself. But those moments are often the ones that lead to the greatest breakthroughs. Keep pushing, stay focused & remember that every failure is just a step towards improvement.
Competitions challenge you to grow, to think creatively & to refine your skills. Trust the process, embrace the learning curve & don't let setbacks hold you back. Stay consistent, keep practicing & believe in your abilities. The more you invest in yourself, the more you’ll see the results.
In the end, it's not just about winning - it's about becoming the best version of yourself & never losing sight of your passion.
