Join The Ring of Hands: Nailympia Online 2nd edition now open for registration for 12 weeks

Following the postponement of the in-person Nailympia London competition due to take place in October 2021, the organiser has moved the international nail competition online for a second edition.

You can enter by clicking here… ENTER

The first edition was a huge success, and gave nailists from all corners of the globe the opportunity to compete across a number of categories – despite the constraints of the pandemic. Nailympia Online affords the opportunity to create nail styles at your salon nail desk, before they are judged virtually by an international panel of acclaimed industry judges.

Registration for Nailympia Online (2nd edition) is now open and will close on 1 December 2021.

The categories, which cross 3 skill divisions, are:

  1. Poster 1 – Extreme Nails & Face – Theme: Light Warrior
  2. Poster 2 – Manicure – short nails (natural or French – colour image) – length no more than small free edge over the finger
  3. Poster 3 – Toe-tally Pedicure – open theme
  4. Marketing Card – A5 or larger – present 3 images – pedicure, manicure, artificial nails: show design & French.
  5. Gel Polish – One hand floral design – one hand French (any colour/style French)

A special walk down memory lane with a smashing line up of judges

22 nail comps hosted by Nailympia Estonia presenting Live streaming & online – now open for registration…

“The international Online competition Nailympia Live is a way to save the beauty industry in the current global pandemic,” cites organiser Viktoria Prihodko. “The global nail service market is adapting and the last six months have been a severe test for the entire beauty industry. The beauty industry is one of the most affected industries due to the restrictions imposed. However, the instant speed of reaction and adaptation to the changed conditions on the part of the organisers (UK & Estonia) and companies associated with the beauty industry, gives hope that the competition will be saved and supported.
“One of these ways is to convert all possible competitive activities into a LIVE format. This format of competitions, of course, is much inferior to traditional competitions at real venues, but right now there is simply no better viable alternative. I’m glad that Nailympia is one of the competitions that the first to adapt.  Nailympia Live is one of the first virtual competitions organised in Finland. Virtual competitions, organised as close as possible to real conditions, and from the point of view of the objectivity of the results, are not inferior to real time, since the master is always under video surveillance, which is being recorded. We also have a great opportunity to review the best results by the chief judge again, which makes it possible to put a fair assessment of the best result.

“The performance of all contestants is recorded at their own workplace, or at a rented site for this, but video and photos of the work performed will be sent through the application recorded in Live mode in one attempt. This technical feature gives the most honest and objective result. The organiser of these competitions strives to make the results of the competition transparent, all participants will receive instant evaluations of their work. By assigning teams and a fixed performance time, judges will see their professionalism and how they were able to cope with emotions during the competition.”
